Today is the day we remember and pray for all the souls of those that have passed on before us. To help us remember our duty to pray for all souls I made some Pan de Muertos (Bread of the Dead). The recipe I used called for anise which I didn’t have so I substituted with whole fennel. I got the idea to make Pan de Mertos from Catholic Cuisine; there are so many great ideas on this blog.
Monkey helped by increasing the speed on my mixer and playing with the magnets on the fridge. Eventually I had to take him off the stool and distract him with raisins.
