Sewing Quick Change Trousers

by Josée

There are so many wonderful ideas that I come across in books, blogs and in everyday life. So, it is no surprise that I have an long list of projects that I want to try. The problem is finding time to try them, especially now that summer has arrived. This week I decided that three times was my limit to borrowing Handmade Beginnings: 24 Sewing Projects to Welcome Baby from the library. I was determined to make a pair of Quick Change Trousers for Sweetpea.

I used a skirt made by April Cornell for the pants. I hadn’t worn the skirt in a long time but I liked the vintage pattern so it stayed in my closet. I’m glad that it’s finally been put to good use.

Very cute! I recently made a shirt I loved the material of but hated on me, into two little sundresses, my girls love them. Such a satisfying feeling.

Do you have cameras in my house? Or the password to my library account? I just got the email today that this book came in off of my request list.

Super cute pants! You should sew a pinafore type top to go over them, that way you could see the cute bum! I just love pinafore tops.

love it 🙂 I agree with Chelsea that a pinafore top would be too cute for words!

I found your blog via Elisa. The pants are adorable and I am really hoping that my library has a copy of that book. I've been wanting to repurpose some old/outgrown clothes and this would be a great project to try.
