It’s been three months since I joined the yarn along wagon. Knitting hasn’t been a huge priority these last few months, not with having a baby, moving South and then preserving loads of fresh produce. Now that summer is winding down knitting is back on my mind. I had the chance to visit a favourite yarn shop a few days ago to purchase some yarn for Christmas projects and I can’t wait to get started… once I finish my blue cardigan.
Remember this sweater? Yes, I’m still working on it. It’s been patiently waiting in my vehicle for the last three months. With the recent road trip, it has finally received some much needed attention. Road trips mean long stretches of uninterrupted guilt-free knitting time. It’s amazing how much knitting you can accomplish in an eight hour road trip up North. I made significant progress on my blue cardigan and I suspect that I’ll have the sleeves finished by the time I return home.
As for reading, I haven’t been reading much other than canning books and blog posts. I did just recently see the Banff Mountain Film Festival 2011 world tour which was such a thrill. Here are a few clips of the films I viewed.
