What I Wore Sunday: Running Edition

by Josée

I keep coming across these What I Wore Sunday posts and my curiosity finally got the better of me. The link-up is hosted by Fine Linen and Purple and all you need to do is post a picture of yourself dressed in your church outfit. So here is what I looked like this morning, ten minutes before going to church:

This morning I did a 5km race. It was my second race, my first race was 5km for IceMan 2011. Today’s race went well. I felt happy that I was able to run the whole 5km pain free. I can’t tell you how long it took me to run 5km because I was so happy to get to the finish line in one piece that I forgot to look at the timer! Silly me. The results will be posted in a couple days so I’ll have to wait until then.

Today’s race was part of a series of races that I plan to complete in preparation for the marathon at the end of August. There have been some challenges along way and I don’t think I will be able to run the whole marathon, unless there is some miracle. My next race will be the 10km Vancouver Sun Run which is at the end of April.

And, don’t worry, I did get changed before going to church but we were already late, as we often are, so I never got a picture of my church outfit. Hopefully, I’ll be more organized next Sunday.

Congratulations!

I've done only one 5k and was just happy I completed it too :). Good luck for the future 10k!
