Chocolate Avocado Mousse

Once every few months I have a surplus of avocados. It’s a great problem to have, one that I wish happened more often. Since I hate wasting food I have devised an easy way for using up lots of avocado very quickly: chocolate avocado mousse. This mousse is chocolatey creamy goodness that even the most discerning eater will enjoy. My kids think it’s the ultimate treat and apparently it makes an effective body mask.

Chocolate Avocado Mousse
Adapted from Vanilla Garlic.

2 to 5 avocados, peeled and seeded
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1/3 cup honey
splash of vanilla (optional)
pinch of cinnamon (optional)
pinch of sea salt (optional)

Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend. Scrap down the sides and taste. Adjust seasoning as desired.

Oh, Yummy!
I've read that chocolate is actually pretty good for the body when rubbed into the skin. 😉
