Time for Stillness

by Josée
Steam-rolled. That’s the word the best describes how I’ve felt the since Saturday. Much of our regular daily rhythm has been absent and our home is in disarray. The whole experience of organizing the march and investigating the complexity of GMOs has left me feeling drained. I need a time of stillness and reflection.

To get my mind off things I’ve picked up my knitting needles to continue working on my son’s Griffin vest that I started back in December. I ran out of yarn in January but a couple days ago I found one skein of the same yarn at a yarn shop. It might be enough to finish the project. I’ve also started reading a book about Christian meditation. Meditation or contemplative prayer has always been something that I’ve wanted to do but having three little children makes it difficult to complete the most basic of my personal needs… making meditation seems near impossible… unless I lock myself in a bathroom… but even then. At least I’m reading about meditation, that’s a start right?

Joining the yarn along.

I'm feeling the same, but for other reasons. Moving, house shopping, it's all quite stressful. Sigh. can't wait until it's all over.
