We have had below average temperatures in the Okanagan for the first part of July. Usually at this time of year we spend our time on the beach and avoid hiking because it is sweltering hot. However, this cooler weather has been perfect for hiking adventures. We recently revisited the imposing Peach Cliff and explored the waterfalls at Naramata Creek Park, two of my children’s favourite hikes. We also returned to Linden Gardens to smell the flowers and watch the snails. And since it looks as though this cooler weather will continue for the better part of the coming week, I am sure that we will be enjoying more adventures. If you are local or visiting the South Okanagan take advantage of this cooler weather and check out one of My Top 10 Kid Friendly Hikes in the South Okanagan.
