Blink! And just like that stores are piled high with glittering balls, bobbles and holiday goods. I love Christmas and the holiday season, but not the craziness at this time of year. In fact, I tend to avoid big box stores like the plague, choosing to do my holiday shopping online or at small local shops instead. Plus, who wants to be wrestling through stores when there’s so much fun to be had outdoors?
How this gift guide came about:
This is not your typical gift guide. For starters this gift guide is for families who enjoy getting outside, and we are many! I’ve also decided to highlight Canadian businesses and product, because I’m a proud Canadian. Many of the businesses in this guide are family owned and operated, so your purchases from these companies support families, just like your own – pretty awesome right?
I should also mention that this gift guide comes from the heart. I hand picked the businesses and products highlighted in this guide and wasn’t paid to do so. These are all businesses that I am proud to support.
